An LED is as its name implies, a light emitting diode (light emitting diode in English).
It is a device that emits light when a current passes through it.They have a cathode and an anode, that is to say a negative and positive side, respectively.
This means that the current must pass in a certain direction. Otherwise it won't work or the LED could be damaged.
It has connecting pins. One is the cathode (-), the long and the anode (+) The LED turns on if the terminals are connected to a voltage appropriate and the circuit closes. The LEDs have a maximum operating voltage and current.
LED DIP Led DIP: It is the first type of led most used in the market, its angle of light varies between 45 and 60 degrees. They stand out as their name indicates due to their high luminosity and power, very similar to traditional halogens. They also have an excellent focus light, thanks to their reduced light angle of 60 degrees.
SMD LED: SMD LEDs stand out for their high brightness and their wide light angle from 110 to 140 degrees. This makes the light spread a lot more leaving very little shadow around it high brightness level, we have SMD LEDs reaching up to 10,000 nits for outdoors. We use a new range of black LEDs that are ideal for outdoor use, allowing excellent visibility.
The bonding wire is a critical component in LED packaging (encapsulation) processes to provide electrical interconnection between the LED chip and the peripheral frame. Most of the LED bonding wire is made of high purity (99.99%) gold, as gold has many advantages as a conducting wire. First, gold is a good contact metal for conducting heat in electronics. The thermal conductivity of gold is 317 W/mkv, close to silver (429W/mkv) and copper (401W/mkv); however, gold lasts much longer as it does not oxidize easily. Gold is of perfect ductility, so it does not break easily even under high stress; Very important, gold is highly reflective of light. According to the result of the alux experiment, under the same experimental conditions, gold-wired LED packages produce 3.55% more light (lumen) on average than copper-wired LED packages. There are also many alternative LED junction materials for cost control purposes. Some LED manufacturers now use copper wire or even alloy wire to reduce cost. However, compared to gold wire, copper is significantly more prone to corrosion problems, and if compounds are not selected correctly, internal CTE (Coefficient of Thermal Expansion) mismatches with the wire bonds will occur. copper that can lead to the device. Failures during the thermal cycle. Some manufacturers are using copper or aluminum gold doping to replace pure gold wire to reduce cost, however, alloy wire has the drawback that it oxidizes very easily. The electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity of the oxidized wire will be drastically reduced, and it will be detrimental to the LED. While high purity gold wire is very stable, even under high current and high temperature it can work very well. For this reason, Miamex Screen Led uses led Nationstar Gold Wire and Led Nationstar RS Series with up to 10000 nits of brightness in its LED Screens.
In order for you to obtain the greatest success and quality on your Large Format LED Screen it depends on some important factors that must be considered before choosing such as what size is ideal, the type of technology and/or resolution that will be obtained.
It is very important when choosing to "take into account" the resolution of the Led Screen and for this we consider some aspects that us will help determine the best proposal. As they are:
-
The visibility distance required (minimum and maximum) for the visual impact to be effective.
-
The height at which the screen will be placed.
-
It is also important to know what type of images, animations, video formats, you want to play on the screen.
Based on these calculations we can get the DPI (dots per inch) to get the sharpest and most detailed image LED that you occupy.
All this will give us a better perspective of what you really need and thus we will ensure that your investment is 100% justified and guaranteed so that you feel more than satisfied with your purchase.
Typically, pixel pitches for indoor
displays range from:
-
1.2 millimeters.
-
1.5 millimeters.
-
2 millimeters.
-
5 millimeters.
-
4 millimeters.
-
6 millimeters.
-
8 millimeters.
-
10 millimeters.

10mm
The pixel pitch for the outdoor LED Screens range from 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, with outdoor brightness that can be up to 10000 nits, the New technologies have made possible new SMD LED designs from the manufacturer NationStar RS Series, achieving 10,000 nits in outdoor LED screens.

Pixel Pitch 16mm
Low resolution
Most of the LED Screens come in cabinets, they are modular (that is, they are made up of modules that can vary their measurements), the measurements of the cabinets allow different mounting configurations. So you can adjust the total size of the screen according to the application or budget.
As a reference, you should consider that the number of total pixels that you should have in the active area of the screen must be greater than 45,000 real pixels. This would guarantee reproducing signals without the loss of image resolution, so around 288 base pixel x 192 pixel height is a good resolution to play a video on a small screen (2.88 x 1.92 mts) with a 10mm PIXEL PITCH, but to reach the same resolution 288 x 192 pixels on a 20 mm PIXEL PITCH we would need a size of 5.76 x 3.84 mts. It may sound a bit complicated, but you can feel safe with us at Led Screens, Miamex Screen Led we can explain any questions you may have and without any commitment. For us the most important thing is that you have peace of mind with our formidable customer service and our excellent after-sales service. LED screens, Miamix Screen Led has worldwide recognition among its customers for its 24/7/365 after-sales service.
The minimum viewing distance is calculated by multiplying the pixel pitch of the LED Display by .75. This value will produce a clear and sharp image. A closer view will produce what is commonly known as a pixelated image, so the image will not look sharp. Example P16 millimeters x .75= 12 m.
The maximum viewing distance is generally 20-30 times the height of the LED Display. Example of a 4.8 meter high LED screen: 30 x 4.8 m = 144 meters.
The unit of measurement for the brightness of the de LED Screen is the nit (cd/m2). As a general rule, 1000 nits for indoor screens or less and de 5000 nits up to 10000 nits for outdoor screens.
The viewing angle depends on the environment (indoor or outdoor), where a LED Screen is installed, the brightness required for a LED Screen is different according to the relationship contrast of the environment.
For example:
Indoor LED Screens require lower brightness, but need a higher viewing angle. On the other hand the outdoor LED screens require a higher brightness and also a higher gray scale . Therefore, the viewing angle requirement of outdoor LED Screens is not as high as that of a LED Screen interior, generally between ± 35 - ± 50 degrees.
The considerations to buy a Screen LED must be:
-
Estimate the size, height and location of your LED Screen.
-
Consider the minimum viewing distance.
-
How many and what type of signals will you use.
-
The LED Screen will be in a fixed or mobile installation.
The determination of these factors will allow LED Screens, MiaMex Screen Led in advance to estimate the pixel pitch, type of cabinet, type of transmission system and the nature of the LED Screen that you may need.
Before everything to learn about LED Screens and their types, we need to know why LED technology brings a radical change to the industry with its qualities, durability and savings.
Today, the LED Display market is made up of products that use DIP technology (older) and SMD technology, but the choice is not accidental...
SMD technology is currently the reference solution for outdoor use. Due to its high brightness and reliable technology, the image remains perfectly readable even during the day, exposed to direct sunlight. The screen is resistant to shock (use in sporting events such as football) and weather.
DIP LED panels are the perfect choice for LED Screens that require a high level of brightness up to 10000 nits, clear and fluid feedback from your advertisers.
The smaller the pixel, the better the definition of the image. Clearly, the lower the pitch (distance between two pixels), it is used for LED Displays at short distances.
The differences between SMD and DIP LED.
The brightness of the SMD LED is the same on the front and sides, while the DIP LED panel varies from 60 to 70%.
SMD LED does not reflect surrounding light. It is 3 times more visible in the sun and the colors are much more natural.
SMD LED Screens are flat, while those equipped with DIP LEDs are made up of small domes that make the contrast not very homogeneous.
SMD LED Top Technology.
The SMD LED presents the most advanced technology to date the three basic colors (RGB) are included in a single component. Even up close it is very difficult to tell them apart. SMD LEDs reflect little light. (The SMD LED in the Black Face version reflects even less light and enjoys high contrast, this more expensive version is mainly used in LED Display versions with high sun exposure.)
